School Counseling Program {abc}
Bloomington ISD proudly introduces a new program based on both the Bloomington and Placedo campuses which provides an array of services to students, parents and the community. The Bloomington Elementary School Counseling Program (BESC) is a three year program funded by a US Department of Education grant now beginning its first year! It is designed to address any issues a student or family may have that somehow interfere with a student’s academic progress as well as to build skills that will promote ongoing success and resiliency.
Services provided include: Individual, Group and Family Counseling Social and Study Skills Training Parenting Skills Training Violence/Bullying Prevention Substance Abuse Prevention Assisting families with basics such as food and utilities Special events for parents and families

BESC Parenting Series 2nd Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm Bloomington Elementary School
The BESC program features speakers from local agencies presenting on a variety of issues concerning parenting and families and offering useful information about their services. Come join other parents and BISD staff for a free hour of helpful parenting information and advice!
