Bobcat Pride

At Bloomington Secondary, we believe students will achieve more when they feel safe, respected, and included.

Through a shared vision, our faculty and staff will serve as positive role models who will encourage and model the traits that encompass our Bobcat PRIDE! Below you will find our Bobcat Pride Matrix which details behavior expectations for our campuses. The purpose of BISD’s discipline matrix is to create a safe and productive classroom where disruptions do not jeopardize the learning environment.

PBIS Rewards System

Bloomington secondary campuses use PBIS Rewards System to help us monitor and teach behavior. This digital platform allows teachers to reward points for appropriate behavior. Points can be used to purchase items in our PBIS store. Teachers can also document inappropriate behavior inside the classroom and instantly notify parents/guardians when students are struggling. Data is continuously reviewed by administration and counselors to determine if a students needs supports to help them achieve healthy, positive behavior standards.

How can families support us in building positive behavior patterns with students?

  • Download the PBIS Family App and connect with your student's account to stay informed of your child's behavior.

  • Talk with your student about the PRIDE Matrix and answer any questions they might have.

  • Talk with your student about how positive behavior can improve their school experience and help them achieve more now and in the future.

  • Stay in contact with your student's teachers, counselors and administrators.

  • Let us know if you notice significant changes in your student's behavior that concern you. We are here to help.
