Consolidated Public Hearing--School Improvement Requirements for All Bloomington ISD Campuses

The Bloomington ISD Board of Trustees will conduct a consolidated public hearing for all BISD campuses to:

(1) notify the public of:

(A) the insufficient performance of Placedo Elementary, Bloomington Elementary, Bloomington Jr. High, and Blooming High School in the state accountability system;

(B) the improvements in performance expected by the Texas Education Agency;

(C) the intervention sanctions that may be imposed under 19 TAC Ch. 97 EE §97.1061 through §97.1067 if the performance does not improve within the designated period; and

(2) solicit public comment on the Placedo/Bloomington Elementary Turnaround Plan and the Targeted Improvement Plans for Bloomington Jr. High and Bloomington High School.

These plans have been posted for the required 30 days on the Bloomington ISD Webpage at this link: https://www.bisd-tx.org/page/required-postings. Stakeholders may also comment on these plans at this link until November 6, 2026.
