This afternoon, Placedo Elementary was placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution due to a police emergency in the immediate area outside our school. At no time were students or staff in danger. We want to thank our students, staff, and families for their patience and understanding as we prioritized safety. Everyone remained calm, and all safety procedures were followed. We appreciate the continued support of our community.

As a precaution, PES has been placed on lockdown. Students that ride bus 20, 21, 7, and 6 have already left campus. All others are safely indoors. We will release students as soon as the lockdown is lifted. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
