✨This week's Student of the Week for Bloomington Elementary is Emmalee Arvizu! She was nominated by Mrs. Marlyn Salinas who says, “There’s a student in every class who radiates a unique energy, and for this particular student, their brightness isn’t just about intelligence or grades—it’s about a magnetic enthusiasm for learning. Emmalee asks insightful questions, eagerly dives into discussions, and approaches every challenge with a positive attitude. Her enthusiasm doesn’t fade after school hours, as I have watched her take on extracurricular activities, where she continues to demonstrate leadership and commitment.”🌟 Keep shining bright, Emmalee!🌟

Students Get 6 Chances During Summer to “Test Out of Classes” The state's education law, the Texas Administrative Code (TAC), will allow Bloomington I.S.D. public school students to obtain credit in a course or grade level by passing tests approved by school district trustees. Texas law, 19 TAC Chapter 74, allows students to "test out of a course" by taking a "Credit by Examination" without prior instruction in the course(s) being tested. To earn credit for a grade or a subject the student must answer 80% of the questions correctly. In accordance with local school district policy, a student in any of Grades 6-12 may be given credit for an academic subject in which he or she had some prior instruction, if the student scores 70% on the test. The tests are rigorous, targeting all the objectives for the courses covered. Where: Victoria Region 3 Education Service Center When: June 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2025 and July 15th, 16th, and 17th, 2025 Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ● Pick up applications at Bloomington Secondary campus front office office during the months of April and May. ● If you would like help filling out the application, you must contact the secondary counselor no later than May 15 to allow time for completion of the application.
