This week's Student of the Week for Bloomington Elementary is Blazeth De La Rosa! She was nominated by Mrs. Rodriguez who says, "The 4th grade team has the absolute pleasure of working with Blazeth this year. She is an incredible individual with an unquenchable thirst for learning. Blazeth inspires all her classmates with her love of learning. Regardless of whether the material is challenging, Blazeth finds the fun in all her work. Blazeth also has an unbreakable will to succeed. She faces down any obstacle with a smile. Her reading and math scores grow with each successive effort because of her tireless dedication. Surely, she will one day leave an indelible mark of love and positivity on the planet. Today, Mrs. Canales's culinary class welcomed guest speakers from Agri-Life. The students were testing for their food handling certifications which are good for 2 years.

Come out to Bloomington Elementary tomorrow evening for a STARR and study resource night. Teachers and vendors will be on hand to provide parents with a wide variety of information. Teachers will be on hand for questions and insights. Doors will be open from 5:00 pm--6:30 pm.

7th grade art students created self portrait paintings that used words and symbols to help describe their personalities! The end results are just as unique as the students who created them!







Mr. Luna's class took advantage of the sunshine today to check on their carrots and prepare beds for future planting!
