This week’s BIG DILL Student of the Week is Layla Guajuardo!
Layla consistently comes to class prepared and ready to learn. She works hard, maintains a positive attitude, and shows respect, responsibility, and kindness to both her classmates and teachers. Her effort and determination set a wonderful example for other Bobcats, and we are proud of the growth she continues to show each day!
Layla’s actions are a great example of our BES PRIDE values and our commitment that It Starts With Me!
For being such a BIG DILL at BES, Leyla was recognized with a special certificate and, of course, a dill pickle!
Congratulations, Layla! Keep learning, growing, and leading by example. You’re a BIG DILL!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS...BES GRANDPARENT'S DAY BREAKFAST 2026
Dear Bloomington Elementary Families,
I want to make you aware that Bloomington Elementary was placed on a **brief hold** today after an unfamiliar vehicle was observed parked near the playground area.
Out of an abundance of caution, we initiated our campus safety procedures while school personnel worked to identify the vehicle and determine why it was on campus. Once the vehicle was identified and we confirmed there was no threat to our students or staff, the hold was lifted and normal campus operations resumed.
At no time were our students or staff in immediate danger. The hold was a precautionary measure taken to ensure we had the information we needed before continuing with normal activities.
The safety of our students and staff is always our highest priority. We would rather take additional precautions and investigate a situation than make assumptions when it comes to the safety of our Bobcats.
Thank you for your continued trust and support of Bloomington Elementary.
Sincerely,
Angele Powers
Principal
Bloomington Elementary School

At the high school and middle school campuses we will continue handing out devices this afternoon, BUT only for those students who have either OPTED OUT or paid for their insurance. If your student needs another copy of the form they are in the front office and those must be turned in and signed as well!
When you go online to pay it will ask for the serial number and you can say "TBD" and be sure to select "HP" as the type of device! This will clear your student and get them ready to receive their device and we will put in the serial number! If you are opting out of the insurance your student needs to turn in their form signed saying this!
