Our district libraries are participating in the America 250 challenge! Learn our nation's history while reading and using your library. Track your reading until you reach the 2,500 minute mark! Time spent reading, visiting the library OR a Texas State park all count towards your total! Pick up a tracker at your school's front office OR in your library to start tracking your time! Prizes are awarded to those students who complete this challenge before the deadline Dec. 31, 2026! Get reading Bobcats!

Let’s Celebrate Earth Day with LIFT
Join PES and BES for our Earth Day event, Planting Seeds of Knowledge and Kindness, on April 20th at 5:30 PM at Placedo Elementary.
Families can participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including planting seeds, painting birdhouses and rocks, making edible dirt cups, and identifying fruits and vegetables. This event is designed to promote literacy, learning, and community engagement in a fun and meaningful way.
Each child will receive a free book, and families can enjoy Earth Day goodie bags, literacy activities, and door prizes.
We look forward to seeing you for an evening of learning, creativity, and community.
