Today the advanced art students took a field trip to VC to view the fall student art exhibition. Students asked lots of great questions and took notes on their favorite works of art. Special thanks to Professor Valadez for letting the Bloomington students sit in and observe his drawing 1 class.

I hope you are enjoying your break so far. We have added a form to the Parent Portal for you to complete for your student(s). This form concerns tutoring that students who were not successful on their STAAR or STAAR EOC tests are receiving. Please note that this form is being sent to all Bloomington Middle School and Bloomington High School students. Receiving this form does not mean that your student failed their middle school STAAR assessments or their high school STAAR End of Course (EOC) assessment(s). If you choose for your student to receive tutoring, and they did pass their state required assessments, we will notify you, and you may change your choice regarding tutoring at that time. The information you need about the tutoring available for your students is included in the form itself, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact one of our counselors or call the front office of your student's campus. At approximately 2:30 pm on 17 November 2021, Bloomington ISD entered a lockdown out of an abundance of caution. There was a report that a weapon may have been left somewhere on the railroad tracks. The decision was made to enter lockdown until the district ascertained that there was no weapon anywhere in the vicinity of any of our schools. The determination was made that the story was actually a hoax and there was no threat. Thank you, Bloomington ISD Mark A. Anglin
