Dear BISD Families, Staff, and Community Members,
I hope this message finds you cozy and safe. As we gear up for some challenging weather, our main concern is your safety and well-being. Due to the expected extreme weather, we've decided to cancel school on Tuesday, January 16. This decision is all about keeping everyone safe and sound.
We're also going to have a late start on Wednesday, January 17, with school beginning at 10 am. This way, we hope to ensure better road conditions and a safer journey for all. We get it – these changes might be a bit unexpected. Your understanding means the world to us. Your safety, and that of our students, staff, and community, is what matters most. As the temperature drops, please take a moment to stay warm and safe. Bundle up, watch your step on icy paths, and prioritize looking after yourself. For any more updates, keep an eye on our official communication channels.

All Basketball games tomorrow Tuesday, January 15 at Weimar are postponed till Wednesday at the same time.
Bloomington Elementary 2nd Graders enjoyed a gallery walk through the hallwyas to investigate story clues and find text evidence. They were very studious and professional in their research, writing and fact finding. Excellent job!!!

BMS and BHS students on the A or A/B honor roll or with perfect attendance for the second nine weeks enjoyed their Braggin' on Bobcats Bash today! Students could choose between popcorn & a movie, chips & board games, popsicles & p.e. or pickles and painting to enjoy!

Congratulations to Geneva McKinney for winning the Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Contest and to Anabelle Silva for winning the Veterans of Foreign Wars Patriot's Pen Essay Contest for Bloomington Texas VFW Post 6074!
Also congratulations to Mrs. Mitchell who won the the VFW Teacher of the Year award for the Bloomington Texas VFW Post 6074 and VFW District 24. She has advanced to the VFW State Competition! Good luck!
