Statement from Superintendent Mark Anglin:
To the staff, students, parents and community members of Bloomington ISD,
I have made the difficult decision to retire. I want everyone to know that this has been the best job I have ever had. Bloomington has some of the greatest students and staff that I have ever worked with, and the School Board, parents and community have been very supportive. I have made this decision knowing that it is the best decision for my family. I have a wife, two children and three grandchildren that need me. I love the students of Bloomington and I will miss them the most.

The Bloomington Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent. The Board has requested that school personnel and the public be involved in developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired of the person the Board should seek to become the new superintendent.
