Bloomington Elementary 5th Graders jumped into action for a STAAR Science and Math camp this morning. The teachers prepared lots of active games and hands on experiments. The fresh food at the end was a well deserved reward.

Over the weekend, 5 middle school art students took their artwork to compete in the Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (Jr VASE). Of these students, Emery Rendon, Amelia Rosales and Debani Castro-Espinoza received medals for their excellent work at the regional level. Debani Castro-Espinoza also received the highest honor of a platinum medal for his work titled "Evolution". These artworks will all be on display to the public at the student showcase in May. Congratulations to these artists for their hard work.
Parents, a fire alarm sounded at the middle school and high school at approximately 11:45 am today. There was brief confusion about it being a fire alarm or a lockdown, but it was a fire alarm. Both campuses were cleared immediately and everyone is safe.
