Effective immediately, students who are found to be in possession of a vape on any Bloomington ISD property will be issued a citation by the BISD School Resource Officer. This is being implemented for the health and safety of the students in our district. For more information about the dangers of vaping, please read here. In Texas, the legal age to purchase or possess tobacco products is 21 years old. We encourage parents to discuss the health risks and consequences involved with vaping and/or being in possession of a vape.

At around 12:15 pm, Bloomington HS administrators received a false report that a student had a gun on campus. The student was immediately located and it was quickly determined that there was no gun and everyone was safe. BHS Administration and local law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
We hope students enjoy their day off on Friday!
